Check

If sending a check through the mail is a viable option for you, we would greatly appreciate it. This allows KFA to avoid the processing fees associated with credit and debit cards, which allows us to retain a higher percentage of your gift. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How can I be sure that my payment went through?

Any time that you donate through PayPal, the system will send you an email to confirm the transaction. As a reminder, if you ever receive a confirmation email for a PayPal transaction you did not make, alert PayPal right away, and they will launch an investigation. To learn more about accessing your payment activity, visit PayPal’s Help Center.

How can I support KFA on a regular basis?

PayPal provides a checkbox at the time of the transaction labeled, “make this a monthly donation.” Once you select that option, it authorizes PayPal to send your donation to KFA each month. You can change or cancel a recurring donation anytime in your PayPal account settings.

Is my financial information secure through the donation process?

PayPal Purchase Protection helps keep your transaction secure by not sharing your full financial information. This layer of security disinter-mediates Kuraray Foundation of America, Inc. from collecting unnecessary data, but enables the organization to receive your donation.

What is a qualified disaster declaration?

The President can declare a major disaster for any natural event, including any hurricane, tornado, storm, high water, wind-driven water, tidal wave, tsunami, earthquake, volcanic eruption, landslide, mudslide, snowstorm, or drought. Regardless of the cause, fire, flood, or explosion, the President determines if it has caused damage to such severity that it is beyond the combined capabilities of state and local governments to respond.

A major disaster declaration provides a wide range of federal assistance programs for individuals and public infrastructure, including funds for both emergency and permanent work.
Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?

Yes. Every donor receives an automatic response from PayPal for your donation transaction. Each month, KFA admin will distribute gift acknowledgment emails to all donors who donated during the previous month. This email will include your tax receipt information.

If you donate by check, KFA will send you a tax receipt by mail or email (if provided). Please note that without full-time staff for KFA, these acknowledgment letters will only go out once per month. If you do not receive your tax receipt, please email info@KurarayFA.org.
